Group Permissions to Secured Items window
Purpose
Use this window to assign secured item access to one or more groups.
To assign access to secured items to one group at a time, use the Group Properties window.
To access this window
On the Employee/Group Administration window, click Permissions.

Item descriptions
Item | Description |

Display Secured Items of this Type |
Select an option to display only secured items of that type in the grid. |
Secured Item grid columns A right angle bracket (>) identifies the column currently used to sort the grid. This grid may be sorted by any column. |

Secured Item |
The name of the secured item for which you can assign group access. |
Type |
Indicates if the secured item is of type Control, Menu Bar, Process, or Report. |
Group grid columns |

Group |
The name of each group you have created. |
Access |
Select to assign full access or no access to the highlighted secured item for the group. If any individual(s) in the group requires exception access, assign that on the Permissions tab on the Employee Properties window. |
Item | Description |
---|---|
Full | Assigns full access to the highlighted item in the Secured Item grid to all of the groups. (Employees can view and use the feature.) |
Read-Only | Assigns read-only access to the highlighted item in the Secured Item grid to all of the groups. (Employees can view, but not use the feature.) |
None | Removes all access to the highlighted item in the Secured Item grid from all of the groups. (Employees can neither view nor use the feature.) |
Members | Opens the Group Members window where you can add and remove employees from a group. |
Save |
Saves any changes you've made to group security. This button only displays if you've edited group security. |
Cancel | Cancels any changes you've made to group security. This button only displays if you edited group security. |
OK | Closes the window |
